Exhibition “Sketches”. Kaluga, 2017
The exhibition presents 42 works from 2000 to 2016, most of which are part of the “Smoke” photographic series. Using modern digital technologies, the author achieves the necessary graphic quality, which refers the viewer to pencil drawings and photographic images of the early 20th century. The plots and style of implementation reveal the author’s lyrical perception of the world around him. Thanks to the created images, one can feel the spirituality of nature and the loneliness of man, sadness about the present and the captivating charm of antiquity, heightened by the feeling of the irrevocability of the past. In the author’s landscapes, the dominant forces of nature, their boundlessness and comprehensiveness dominate over man and his creations.
